Nick Faulkner, Director, SDL Property Partners
Nick qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1992 and was elected as a Fellow to the RICS in 1999. He became a founding Member of the Institute of Residential Property Management and in recent years has been an invited to lecture for both Portsmouth University and the RICS on best practice in leasehold management. Nick has built up a several businesses specialising in residential block and estate management and having sold his first business to Countrywide PLC in 2008 became their Leasehold Director. During his career Nick has acted for different divisions of every National housebuilder and developer in setting up numerous mixed use and mixed tenure developments across the Country and has acted as both litigant and expert witness in the First Tier Tribunal.
Cassandra Zanelli, Partner, PM Legal Services
Award winning Cassandra heads PM Legal Services. An acknowledged leader in her field, she is recognised principally for her expertise in the First-Tier tribunal. Cassandra is a well-respected speaker, invited to address key national and regional conferences.. Most recently, she had the privilege of judging the inaugural ARMA Ace awards. Passionate about sharing knowledge, Cassandra has launched PM Legal Hub, a free online resource hub for property management professionals.
Paul Marsh, Director, Lawes Marsh Ltd
Paul Marsh is a former Senior Enforcement Officer with the Fire Service and a Director of Lawes Marsh Limited, a company that specialises in helping landlords, Councils and property management companies comply with fire safety and health and safety regulations.
With many years practical experience as a qualified Fire Investigator and Incident Manager he has attended many fires within residential accommodation, in order to establish ‘cause and effect’ and now uses this and his enforcement background to assist Landlords and Property Managers to ensure safety is applied in a common sense and legally compliant way.
Paul is a member of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management and has been a member of the Institution of Fire Engineers for over 25 years, having also served as the President of the Southern Branch. He has written articles for landlord publications and given talks to residential landlord forums.
