Almost three years ago, SDL Group launched SDL Property Partners to support property managers, letting agents, surveyors and other property businesses looking to go it alone or expand into the world of block management. Passionate about transforming property management, we believe that a greater emphasis on compliance and customer service will drive up standards, giving leaseholders a better experience.

The franchise continues to grow, with 14 Property Partners now across the UK and 3 more having recently signed.

Our partners come from different backgrounds but have the same values; a passion for property and commitment to providing a fantastic service. Whilst we take care of back office systems, training, compliance and ongoing support, our partners are able to focus on managing properties, budgets and relationships with clients and residents;

  • Ensuring buildings are maintained and compliant with health and safety regulations
  • Working with residents to set a service charge budget and collect individual contributions
  • Liaising with residents on a huge range of subjects, but usually around managing repairs and maintenance
  • Liaising with contractors to arrange maintenance and repairs
  • Arranging insurance of the building and, in some cases, provision of central heating, lifts, porterage, estate staff, lighting and cleaning of common areas

Driving standards through customer service:

Our partners provide customers with an in-depth transparent and realistic health check on their property and the service charge budget. Understanding their customers priorities is key to helping to future-proof their property build that relationship.

That’s where SDL 360 comes in. Our newly launched portal connects residents to their property manager, contractors doing repairs or maintenance, and other residents in their development. It’s a real driver for bringing the community together and supporting residents in engaging amongst each other, whether that’s the ‘ideas hub’, the forum or the virtual noticeboard.

A resident’s access to SDL 360 is completely unique to their development and their management agreement with our partners. It has been designed to offer complete transparency and improve the customer service provided. The portal informs residents about resident’s meetings, dates and times of contractor visits and general updates. They can also view their service charge accounts online, make payments at the click of the button and raise or track requests for maintenance or repairs until completion too.

With a total of 14 property partners to date, and another three in the process of arranging training, we are extremely pleased to see that our partners are continuing to grow in size and win more blocks.
