Deryck Highet and Joanna Diamond opened their Wirral estate agency franchise back in 2010 and has built up a substantial portfolio of rental properties. Deryck is a Chartered Surveyor with over 30 years’ experience in the property industry both in estate agency and lettings, and Joanna comes with many years’ experience in sales and marketing across multiple industries. Over the last ten years Northwood Wirral has extended its offering from that of a lettings specialist into providing a full range of estate agency services including the modern method of Auction.

Why SDL Property Partners?

We have continued to grow our business both organically as well as by acquisition and are keen to seek other revenue generating sources that complement our existing businesses. Block Management is a natural fit for our business, one which we believe will also help generate organic growth for our historic core business as a specialist lettings company.

In addition, we have been made aware by a number of our existing clients of relative high levels of dissatisfaction with other block management companies have often been seen as remote and unhelpful. We see our entry into this market as being able to offer a local business owned block management service of a much better standard.

We were introduced to SDL by our own franchise company and it was immediately obvious that SDL are able to provide the highly compliant integral level of support that we would need to be able to offer a high quality service to management companies who we would look to work with.

How did you find the process of becoming a partner?

The team were quickly able to answer any initial queries we had. They followed up with a detailed assessment of the scale of potential block management business that was available in our area, which helped enabled us to make the decision to go ahead with them. The level of support to date has been of the highest order and we feel confident of being able to grow our block management business quickly and compliantly.
